Order Placement Procedures

Orders may be placed via our automated system, which will be fulfilled within 2 working days. If any delays occur, we will notify you via email. In regions where we are registered to collect tax, automated checkout is an estimate. If the tax charged is higher than your tax region, please request an invoice before placing a purchase. This way, we do not have to worry about overcharging you.

We can ship to any contiguous US state for our flat rates, or to anywhere in the world with calculated shipping. Our online platform has technical limitations, so many of our checkout processes are still best when verified by a human. If you place an order, you agree to pay for the order under normal and expected circumstances. Excessive abandoned or canceled orders may result in exclusion from future promotional offers or options of financing.

Thank you for shopping with us. We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with every purchase. Please read our cancelations and returns policy carefully to understand how cancelations, returns, and refunds are processed.

Rentals

Rentals are renewed according to the individual rental agreement. Rentals can be canceled at any time before the next payment is due. If returning in person, the instrument must be returned BEFORE the end of the paid rental cycle. If shipping the instrument, it is up to the renter to package and ship the instrument, and provide tracking, on or before the end of the paid rental cycle. Failure to do so will result in late fees as laid out the rental agreement.

Services and Custom Items

All services, as well as all items which are made for, modified for, or include services for the client, are non-refundable. Additionally, services and custom items may not be canceled once labor begins. All cancelations for custom items or services will be refunded according to the item's cancelation policy.

Custom ordered items may not be returned and are considered final sale, even if the item does not specify this in the listing.

Warranty

Unless otherwise noted in the listing, all instruments are covered by a 30-day limited warranty, which covers solder failure, lacquer chipping, or other functional failures resulting from manufacturing or restoration errors. Any damage caused by the buyer is not covered by warranty.

Purchases

Cancelation Policy

  • You may request a cancelation before your item ships.

  • If approved, you will be refunded to your original payment method, less 5% to cover our non-refundable expenses.

  • Your cancelation may be denied, in which case your item will still ship as ordered.

Return Eligibility

  • If there is an issue with your order, you have 72-hours from the time of delivery to notify us; please see the Exceptions section below.

  • You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a standard return (including fees). Please ensure that your item is eligible for return before proceeding.

  • Some items are not eligible for returns; please see the Exceptions section below.

Return Process

  • Submit Return Request: Contact our customer service team via email within 30 days of receiving your order to initiate a return.

  • Shipping: You will then be sent a return address, though you are responsible for return shipping. The item must be shipped within 8-days of the return approval, and you must provide a tracking number to us via email within this window. If a tracking number is not provided when you ship the return, we may not be able to process your return and refund.

  • Liability: You are responsible for the item until it is delivered to our return address. If the item is damaged in transit, then your return may be denied upon inspection. The item must be returned in the same condition as it was sent upon purchase. If the item is clearly used or damaged by the customer, then your return may be denied.

Refund Policy

  • Once your return is received, it will then be inspected.

  • Upon passing inspection, your refund will be issued to your original payment method, less a restocking fee of 12% plus shipping costs.

  • Refunds are processed for the amount paid minus the cost of any repairs or damages identified during the inspection.

  • Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment and may take up to 30 business days to process.

Exceptions

  • Certain items have modified cancelation or return policies, which will indicate this in the description on the item listing.

  • Items indicating "FINAL SALE" in their item description are not eligible for return once delivered.

  • Items must be returned in the condition in which they were received. Items that are damaged or altered are not eligible for a full refund.

  • Items that were received from The Brasswind Network that are not-as-described, or items that were damaged in transit to the customer, must be reported within 72 hours of item delivery, and will be made whole by The Brasswind Network. If the 72-hour window is missed, then the item is to be treated as any other standard return with all applicable fees.

Billing and Taxes

We are authorized and required to collect taxes in the state of Colorado. However, our online platform has technical limitations, so we must manually review all orders to include accurate tax amounts. If you place an order, you agree to pay for the order under normal and expected circumstances. Excessive abandoned or canceled orders may result in exclusion from future promotional offers or options of financing.
